The acquisitions continue

Went down and bought the kid kart for Kieran today.  It's in great shape and the motor runs (the most important part for now).  There is some work to be done on it though since it was previously set up for oval racing.  All of the wheels were different sizes and the spares (I found out after I got home) are almost the right sizes, but the wheels are all a little wide for the cause - 5.5" wide instead of just 5" for the front.  And some of the tires were stretched so much as to be unrecognizable.  So now it's time to buy some spares - something I was hoping to avoid for this one.  But I might as well do it right so we have what we need when we need it.

I also need to figure out how to either reposition the pedals since Kieran is short, or get something to make it easier for him to reach without stretching.  And the seat that's on it is very tall and way oversized for him, so a new one is in order, too.  I foolishly thought this was going to be a relatively inexpensive sport (compared to my national-level Civic).  So far it is cheaper (for both my and Kieran's karts and spares), but not by much...
