More kart updates

Ordered a new seat for Kieran's kart.  MUCH better fit!  I also repositioned the pedals to the alternate location and shortened the cables for the throttle and the brake.  I also ordered some skinnier wheels for the front of his kart and I'll keep the 5" wide wheels/tires in the back.  Still waiting for the extra tires to be delivered and I still have to mount the seat.  I also have to buy a nasal fairing still - there's supposedly a shop just across the river, but the proprietor is never there... He (obstensively) sells things on eBay, but frequestly leaves "out of office" messages on his auctions.  Strange, but it would be a great contact to make if he ever calls back...

I'm still in the process of completing the kart trailer.  I came up with a(nother) idea to easily transport both karts with the trailer and so redesigned it again.  I'm focusing on it being open now for less weight, less wind resistance, better visibility from the car, etc.  And I figured out a way to put his kart on the front /tongue so I can easily add his kart for the events he'll be driving.  The rest of the time that space will carry spares, etc, but will still be open to the elements, so the trailer will be stored in the garage this year.

I bought a tire bead breaker so I can (try to) change tires myself.  Still waiting for it to arrive.  And I bought and installed a tow hitch for my Lexus this week.  It fits very well (truly a hidden hitch) and should be the right height for the trailer without any mods.  Still have to wire up the trailer light package to the car which will be a trying experience, I hear...
